Saturn's rings are fading away and 'earthers' can't handle it

Just last week, we heard the saddest news about the rover named Opportunity being officially dead due to its batteries being empty.

Today, things are getting worse to the astronomy world. Saturn planet is losing the rings that surround it. They are fading away!

Saturn was always known for its ring and the world can never imagine it without them. It's "his" thing.

The rings are wide and big. They extend 280,000 km away from the planet. Making the rings fit 6 earth planets at once in them in a row.

Scientists predicted that the rings would fade eventually but not at this speed.

The rings are fading away to the planet's surface as rain. This rain is enough to fill a football stadium every half an hour. This speed of fading was never predicted by scientists. 10k km3 per half an hour is a big amount of rain to have on such a planet.

Saturn is raining now with rings. Rings that are made up of chunks of ice and rock. Rings that are going away and one day they will be all gone.
