The show was shot in Albuquerque, a city in New Mexico. A place that perfectly fits the show's purposes and the vibes it intended to give. The city is beautiful and is surely a place that's worth having Breaking Bad in, to film for 5 seasons.
The good atmosphere isn't just about the location of filming the show, but it's also about the whole general frame. The show's total mood was calm and quiet, despite all the action stuff that happened every now and then ... back then. The characters are calm as well. It's a well-set show.
4 | It's not your typical action show
You may find it odd but the show is not a typical action one. There are no gunshot sounds all the time, no dead bodies on the street like the city doesn't care about its citizens, no "bloodshed" all the time and definitely no exploding cars the whole time (well, there's a car that exploded intentionally in the show).
The show has some scenes were Walter White and his family are just eating breakfast, silently. The show was meant to bring the boredom in the characters' lives. It's something to get the fans connected with their beloved characters. Everything is not as cool as it sounds, your character doesn't have important things to do every second. It's the closest show to the real world in terms of reality, plot and events.

The show is boring in the first season but it's the good kind of boredom where characters bases are being made. Every show needs to build the floor ground before going up. Breaking Bad needed us to know the lives of the characters and their suffering before getting into the real stuff.

Breaking Bad was so good at delivering the story. Characters were developing with time. It's the kind of show that has multiple stories within it. New stories emerged within the main one. Bryan Cranston's great performance was the best thing in the show. It's the as well the best reason on why you should watch Breaking Bad if you never did before. The monster that the show's main character became is outstanding. It's something, weirdly enough, that you can relate to.
The innocent chemistry teacher named Walter White is nothing compared to businessman Heisenberg. Even the word businessman sounds more appealing and less evil than Heisenberg's work and character.
Bryan Cranston's goodness wouldn't be there if Aaron Paul didn't match him. Both of the actors were a solid team. Just like Batman and Robin. Jesse Pinkman was a great character and a lovable one.
