There's no doubt that football is the most popular sport of all time in the past and in the present. It's almost known on every spot on our mother earth. Why is that? well, here are five reasons that justify football's fame:
5 | It's simple
Football is easy to get and understand. It's also easy to be played. You don't have to be a genius to understand it. It's just 22 men/women running on a pitch to get the ball and score. It's really not that hard. This easiness and clarity bring the game so many fans. Still, there are some basic rules that others might find difficult to understand, such as the offside rule or when it's best to give a straight red card instead of a yellow one.
4 | It doesn't cost money
Football is the poor's game. Lots of famous football fans came out of poor neighborhoods. Tevez (an Argentian football player) lived amongst killers in one of the poorest places in his town. Ronaldinho was no special as well, he was living in a very poor area but turned his life 180 degrees and became one of the coolest in the game. Zidane had no football boots until he was 14 years old. Lots of examples can be stated here but the point is: football is for everyone. It costs nothing to play. You literally need a $5 ball and 4 bricks to make two goals and a beautiful game.

Football is the only sport that have "the beautiful game" as its title. Such a game connects people from all over the world. It makes people feel human again. It's, as a matter of fact, one of the rarest sports that have respect between its fans. Such a game taught us more moral values than any other religious place or a school. Football melts the political issues in any place. We all remember when the Ivorian civil war stopped so that both sides of the war can watch their Ivorian team playing in the world cup of 2006.

Football fans have their own traditions. They dress their team's jerseys like they are on their last day. They don't miss a single match of their favorite team. They belong to the team despite the geographic boundaries. They post about their favorites all the time. They even discuss the games during classes and maybe during weddings. It's just a beautiful way to live when you're a football fan.
