Here's the reason why men always pay for the first date

6-7 years ago, men paying for dinner on a date was not negotiable. In fact, men HAD to pay or else there was no second date.

In 2019, things are a little different. Cheverly is seen as sexism these days. You paying for the dinner could hurt the lady's feelings.

WHEN DID THE CONCEPT OF DATING START?

Before getting into details of why the man tends to pay for the dinner, we should see the roots of the whole thing.

Dating started in the early 1900s. At the time, women were not employees, nor workers. They instead were doing all the homework from cleaning the house to washing the dishes.

Men who used to ask women for a date had the money to do it. They were getting paid for the work they are doing. They were the dominant gender in the working field and they used to pay for the dinner since women didn't really have much money back in the day.

This historical thing kept on going to this day. It's a gesture that does not offend anyone and if it does, the man can tell and makes sure to split the bill for both. For him and for the lady that is with him.

MEN KNOW THAT WOMEN CAN PAY BUT THEY DO IT AS A CHEVERLY

Men focus more on the materialistic stuff and women focus on the psychological aspect. Men think paying for dinner is their thing. They know women can pay half the price of dinners they had together but IT'S THEIR THING from historical background to do so.

Men don't make less of women when they pay for dinners but it's just a way to show respect. Just like when they hold the door FOR ALL THE GENDERS IN THE WORLD, not just for women.
